Radon Gas Monitor — SIRAD MR-106N

SIRAD MR 106(N) is the first Radon Gas Monitor, in Russian and CIS market, made specifically as a household appliance for measuring air radioactivity of living quarters.

Description

SIRAD MR 106(N) is the first Radon Gas Monitor, in Russian and CIS market, made specifically as a household appliance for measuring air radioactivity of living quarters.

SIRAD MR 106(N) is a desk-mounted instrument which allows consumers to measure the equivalent balanced volumetric Radon activity in air according to the quantity of its bulk value activity.

SIRAD MR 106(N) is the modern, reliable instrument for detecting Radon Gas presence inside premises, made for consumers with no prior professional knowledge in the sphere of radiation monitoring and detection.

RADON is a dangerous radioactive gas.  It radiates alpha-particles, which destroy living cells and is one of the reasons of respiratory tract oncological diseases. Specialists say that Radon gas is the greatest contributor to collective radiation dose.

RADON escapes from the soil and can accumulate in quarters. Additional sources of radon presence in living quarters are: water from deep wells and natural gas used for heating and cooking.

RADON and its breakdown products, according to their risk level, are referred to as the main source of natural factors of common radiation. Considerable presence of Radon in the air of living quarters (more then 200 Bk/m3) can cause cancer cells growth and leukemia. Radon represents the greatest danger for children, because of the lower resistibility of child's organism.  This is why parents should pay special attention to places where children play, sleep and live.

Presence or absence of Radon depends on the season, atmospheric pressure, temperature, air and soil humidity -- air monitoring in the living quarters is necessary throughout the year!  Increased radon level in living quarters can be decreased below the critical level by means of high-quality vapour seal or a balanced house ventilation.  SIRAD indicator will confirm that you have done everything correctly.
